RESOURCES TO PROTECT YOUR KIDS AND KEEP FAITH BASED VALUES

PROTECT YOUR KIDS

Creating a Stronger Generation of Citizens

Protecting Kids

Protecting children starts with ensuring that the books and materials they encounter in schools and libraries are age-appropriate and grounded in truth. In today’s culture, families are facing increasing pressure from agendas that promote gender confusion and moral relativism, often disguised as education. From a Biblical perspective, parents have both the right and responsibility to guard their children’s hearts and minds, guiding them in truth and identity as God designed. Our resources equip parents and communities to stand firm, speak up, and restore integrity to what children are being taught and exposed to in public institutions.

PROTECTING KIDS FROM EXPLICIT CONTENT IN LIBRARIES

Welcome to the Library Content Initiative of America’s Women. Our mission is to ensure that public school and public library materials are age-appropriate, protecting children from sexually explicit, violent and inappropriate content while promoting parental rights and community values. We advocate for transparent policies, responsible curation of library resources, and the promotion of positive, value-driven content to create safe learning environments. Explore below to learn why we’re focused on this issue, actions you can take, how to support wholesome content, and ways to get involved.

Why Address Sexually Explicit Library Books?

Public schools and libraries are trusted spaces for education and enrichment, but the inclusion of explicit materials in children’s and young adult sections raises concerns for many parents and communities. Here’s why we focus on this issue:

  • Protecting Children: Exposure to graphic sexual & violent content can be harmful to minors, influencing their development and worldview prematurely.

  • Parental Rights: Parents should have a say in what materials their children access, ensuring alignment with family values and age-appropriateness.

  • Community Standards: Libraries should reflect the values of the communities they serve, prioritizing educational merit over controversial content.

Our Actions to Address Explicit Content

We work to ensure that public schools and libraries maintain age-appropriate materials through advocacy, policy reform, and community engagement. Here are our key actions:

  • Advocate for Policy Changes: We support legislation and local policies that require libraries to review and restrict sexually explicit materials, ensuring compliance with state laws.

  • Support Parental Oversight: We empower parents to challenge inappropriate books through formal review processes and school board engagement.

  • Promote Transparency: We encourage libraries to adopt transparent selection criteria and involve community input in curating collections.  Resource: Steps to identify and challenge explicit books in school libraries. Ratedbooks.com and takebacktheclassroom.com

  • Communities: We provide resources to inform parents and citizens about the content in school and public libraries, fostering informed dialogue.  RatedBooks.Org has a database of book reviews highlighting explicit content for parental awareness.

  • Supporting Positive, Value-Driven Content: In addition to addressing inappropriate materials, we promote wholesome, educational, and value-driven books that inspire and uplift young readers. By encouraging libraries and schools to include high-quality content, we support environments that foster character, critical thinking, and family-friendly values.

Gender Ideology

UNDERSTANDING THE HARMS OF GENDER IDEOLOGY

As parents seeking to raise children in alignment with Biblical values, you face challenges from gender ideology—a belief system asserting that gender is “a fluid, self-determined identity detached from biological sex.” This page informs parents about the potential harms of gender ideology from a biblical viewpoint, offering guidance to protect and nurture children in a way that honors God’s design.

What Is Gender Ideology?

Gender ideology asserts that personal feelings—not biology—define gender. It promotes medical and social transitions, often without parental consent. Biblically, this conflicts with the truth that God created humans male and female, with sex and gender as part of His purposeful design (Genesis 1:27).

Biblical View of Human Identity

The Bible teaches that God created humanity in His image, male and female, with distinct and complementary roles (Genesis 1:272:18–24). This binary design is seen as good and purposeful, reflecting God’s glory and order (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and rejecting one’s biological sex is viewed as a denial of God’s created order.

Key Harms of Gender Ideology

  • Rejects Biblical Identity: Redefining sex and gender denies God’s authority and design, leading to spiritual confusion (1 Corinthians 6:19–20).

  • Physical & Mental Health Risks: Puberty blockers and hormones cause irreversible damage and lack long-term safety data.

  • Social Contagion: Teens, especially girls, are influenced by peers, media, and school environments to adopt transgender identities.

  • Erodes Parental Rights: Schools often keep parents in the dark about their child’s gender identity.

  • Spiritual Harm: Children are pushed to reject their God-given identity, harming their relationship with God.

  • Disrupts Families: Radical policies impose confusion and weaken traditional family structures.

Why Men Should Not Compete in Women’s Sports

  • Biological Differences Matter: Males have inherent physical advantages in strength, speed, and endurance—unfair in female competition.

  • Protects Opportunities for Women: Allowing men in women’s sports takes scholarships, records, and recognition from female athletes.

  • Safety Concerns: Contact sports can become dangerous when biological males compete against females.

  • Biblical Design for Male and Female: God created men and women with distinct roles and physical attributes. Blurring these distinctions in sports dishonors His design and devalues the female body.

Guidance for Parents

  • Teach God’s Design Early: Instill biblical truth about gender from a young age.

  • Stay Engaged: Keep open communication and monitor school and media influences.

  • Choose Biblical Counseling: Seek help that aligns with Christian values—most gender confusion resolves over time.

  • Pray & Trust: Lean on Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16–17) and raise children in the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).
