Moments That Matter

Consider the pivotal moments in your life. Images etched on your heart that you won’t forget… Most of them involve people, don’t they?
They’re like mile markers on the highway… or like floating buoys on life’s turbulent ocean. The ones that make you look above the busyness, the million details, and remember the WHY. The moments that re-calibrate the path and re-fuel your resolve.
Two such moments happened for me last week. I spent many days in Wisconsin with our middle daughter awaiting number six grandchild —a precious baby boy! Then we shared another moment, when our youngest daughter received her wings as a Naval Flight Officer in Pensacola, FL (with top distinction)! … Those moments (as well as many others with my husband and all of our kids) are my WHY.
I write to you today FULL of Heart, and FULL of Resolve for mine--and America’s--path forward!
If you look at the history of America (as well as your own history), you’ll find threads that tie together a meaningful story. It’s love that forms the most powerful threads. Sometimes the pattern makes no sense in the moment, but you can see from a distance a tapestry of purpose. Though oftentimes rough, your life is a beautiful tapestry—and so is the life of America.
The world seems chaotic right now. We’re in rough waters—war and confusion overseas, important concerns at national, state and local levels. But what can WE do? It’s tempting to feel overwhelmed and discouraged. But no, these are the times to hold on to those buoys—the people, purpose and principles that matter, the ones that tie us together!
What we CAN DO is defend America’s Freedom, that in turn defends our Faith and our Families. We CAN get informed and get engaged in local ways. And we CAN pray, as our nation’s founders and leaders have for 250+ years (often the most powerful action).
Thursday night, our America’s Women Summit celebrates ‘Strong Women. Strong Nation’. Pivotal women have woven powerful threads that anchor America’s culture to the WHY’s worth fighting for.
This is why America’s Women empowers Families, Faith, and Freedom. How? By gathering MORE Strong Women—showing them HOW to make impact. Right where they live. Every week.
Just imagine an America today that is filled with strong women—Informed, Engaged and Voting—to shift culture for good! Starting Local. EVERY American woman (and man) is made to be pivotal for the greater story that ties us together.
What are YOUR pivotal moments? Join us, and find where YOUR threads make the tapestry strong! -- Kim
